Common Questions from Teens with Anxiety

What if talking about my anxiety makes it worse?

We’ll move at your pace. Many teens actually find relief in finally having a safe space to talk about their anxiety with someone who understands.

We’ll explore together what you’re experiencing. While some stress is normal, we’ll help you understand when anxiety is becoming a problem and how to manage it.

As a counselor, I don’t prescribe medication. We’ll focus on therapeutic techniques to manage anxiety, and if medication might be helpful, we can discuss this with your parents and doctor.

No anxiety is too severe to be helped. We’ll start with small, manageable steps and build your confidence gradually.

While I maintain your privacy, I also ensure your safety. We’ll discuss exactly what stays between us and what needs to be shared with parents.
